Zenken is a national organization established in 1989. Its purpose is to carry out investigations and research related to improvement and security, and to contribute to improving health care and the welfare of the elderly. In 2011, it became a public interest corporation association, and in 2016, more than 3,600 elderly care institutions nationwide joined it.
