In accordance with the recommendation of the Chief Sanitary Inspector, the Management Board of Grupa MTP decided to postpone the SALMED International Trade Fair of Medical Equipment and Instruments to September 1st – 3rd, 2020.
Information on the postponing of SALMED Trade Fair
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Due to the state of increased preparedness among medical services in Poland related to the SARS-CoV-2 virus infections occurring worldwide and in the European countries, yesterday the Chief Sanitary Inspector issued an official statement containing the following recommendation:
“Given the key role of medical professionals in preventing the spread of infections, I recommend cancellation of all conferences and industry events involving medical professionals.” (Statement of the Chief Sanitary Inspector for medical professionals - coronavirus; 2nd of March 2020)
In accordance with the recommendation of the Chief Sanitary Inspector, the Management Board of Grupa MTP decided to postpone the SALMED International Trade Fair of Medical Equipment and Instruments to September 1st – 3rd, 2020.
We hope that this decision, although not related to the threat at the fair event directly, will be fully acknowledged and accepted by you. At the same time, we are convinced that the postponing of SALMED trade fair organisation until September will allow physicians, hospital directors and health care managers as well as nurses, paramedics and all medical professionals to focus on the most important tasks coordinated by the Chief Sanitary Inspector and the state authorities. At the same time, we would like to assure you that we have already started intensive work to ensure that the trade fair in September meets the expectations of medical professionals in Poland in the best possible way.
